🇵🇸 SEPTEMBER 11? FREE PALESTINE!

As Muslims, it is both good and incumbent upon us to remember the more than 3,000 victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11 in New York and Washington, 25 years after they were carried out. From an Islamic perspective, Usāmah ibn Lādin cannot in any way be justified, nor can the unexpressed satisfaction over the collapse of the Twin Towers that resides in the hearts of many Muslims, overwhelmed by impure feelings of resentment and revenge.

May Allāhﷻ grant His peace to the innocent whose lives were unjustly cut short by the disastrous consequences of the political and ideological instrumentalization of the Islamic concept of jihād.

At the same time, we feel the imperative to remember the over 70,000 Palestinians killed in the Gaza Strip by the daily terrorism of people who have nothing but hatred in their hearts. Their terrorism remains unpunished and unchallenged, although it is also responsible for more than 170,000 wounded. Moreover, the figures exceed 2 million when we consider the permanent damage suffered over nearly three years by the local population, whose existence has been, to say the least, devastated blindly by Shaytanyahu and the “bad company” of extremists whom he represents.

Terrorism does not only cause deaths and injuries, but also produces victims who, while remaining physically unharmed by bombings and machine-gun fire, carry the consequences with them for the rest of their lives. Without food, water, medical care, schools, and jobs, not to mention the destruction of mosques, while constantly subjected to occupation, repression and humiliation, with no escape route and no real prospects for reconstruction, development, peace and security.

The predicament extends to the West Bank as well, where colonization advances through violence and abuses that encounter no effective impediment other than the desperate Resistance of the Palestinians, both Muslims and Christians, who do not simply want to be forced to abandon their homes and places of origin.

Overall, the impact of Zionist terrorism, condemned also by many Jews (Zionists and non-Zionists alike), is decidedly more catastrophic than that of al-Qāʿidah. Therefore, as we commemorate September 11 and its victims, let us keep Palestine at the center of our individual and collective attention.

Al-Qāʿidah in hell, Free Palestine! 🇵🇸 ☝️
