Il viaggio diventa adorazione e all’arrivo sarò pronto ad affrontare la jāhiliyya della capitale.

“MEDITAZIONE ISLAMICA AUTUNNALE”
L’autunno, con il cadere delle foglie e il cambiamento dei colori, invita i mu’minīn a riflettere sulla caducità della vita.
Questa stagione è un’oportunità per rafforzare la nostra fede, coltivare gratitudine verso l’Altissimo e dedicarsi alla preghiera, consapevoli della transitorietà della Dunya e che solo nell’Akhira potremo trovare la vera vita.
Osservando la natura, riflettiamo sui segni di Allāh swt. “Ogni anima assaggerà la morte” (sūrat ‘Āli ‘Imrān, 3:185). Dunque prepariamoci!

“GLI AMICI NELL’ISLĀM”
Il Profeta Muhammad ﷺ disse:
“Tra i servitori di Allāh vi sono persone che non sono né profeti né martiri, ma i profeti e i martiri li invidieranno per la loro posizione presso Allāh… sono coloro che si amano per lo spirito di Allāh, senza legami di sangue né interessi reciproci” (Sunan Abi Dawud 3527).
Non tutte le amicizie sono uguali. Certe anime si incontrano non per caso, ma per volere di Allāh swt e camminano insieme fi sabīlillāh, supportandosi con sincerità e consigliandosi con saggezza (hikmah).
Che Allāh ci conceda compagni di strada che ci avvicinino a Lui e ci raduni insieme nel Jannah, come ci ha riuniti oggi in questa Dunyā.

“WE ARE NOT HERE BY CHANCE”
Immersed in the daily landscape, among idols and bell towers, let us always remember Allāh Subhānahū wa-taʿālā. In every city and on every street, let us carry within us the light of Tawḥīd, always with a smile, good conduct, and a gentle and sweet Da‘wa.
In shā’ Allāh, the minds and hearts of all those who do not yet realize that they were born Muslims will be opened.
“Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in the best way. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided” (Surah An-Nahl, 16:125).

“LA PASSEGGIATA DIVINA”
“È Lui che vi ha stabiliti sulla terra e vi ha fatto camminare su di essa” (sūrat al-Mulk, 67:15)
La vita quotidiana in questa dunyā è spesso una lotta contro lo spazio e contro il tempo. Come esseri umani, ci lasciamo trasportare dalla frenesia dei nostri mille impegni, riempiendo la mente di preoccupazioni e pensieri negativi, dimenticando che Allāh swt ci ascolta anche quando non parliamo.
Come musulmani dobbiamo allora aggrapparci alla Sua “corda”, respirando profondamente per ritrovare la via del Paradiso e riconnetterci con l’Altissimo.
Andiamo verso di Lui con i nostri passi e tutta la confusione della nostra mente svanirà. Non siamo soli lungo la “Retto Via”. Subhān Allāh! ☝️

“FROM PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ TO US: THE HIJRAH GOES ON”
I am Muslim. I am Italian. And today, with the arrival of the holy month of Muharram, the new year begins: we are in 1447 After Hijrah (AH), the migration of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from Mecca to Medina.
A journey that is not merely geographical, a movement through space made necessary to escape the “Islamophobia” that has gripped Muslims from the very beginning.
Indeed, Hijrah is also a spiritual journey, which guides believers to grow in faith through sacrifice, patience, and hope in the mercy of Allāh ﷻ.
However, there is no need to change city. Rather, we need to change our hearts and minds, migrating away from what distances us from the Most High toward what brings us closer to Him.
May Allāh ﷻ give us a 1447 full of barakah and salāma, with a renewed faith and an increasingly united and prosperous Ummah.
“Let there be among you a group inviting to what is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong. Those will be the successful” (sūrat Āl ‘Imrān, 3:104). Amīn. ☝️

“HIJĀB, MARRIAGE, TRUE LOVE”
A simple gift, an immense meaning.
When a Muslim husband chooses to gift his wife a hijāb, he is not just offering a piece of cloth, but he is saying from the heart:
“Let us draw closer to Allāh swt together”.
“I love you for your imān more than any appearance”.
“Let us shine before Allāh swt, not in the eyes of the dunya”.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best of you is the one who is the best to his wife” (Tirmidhī).
May Allāh swt bless the men who support their wives with kindness, and may every gifted ḥijāb be a step toward Jannah, together. ☝️

ONE COFFEE, TWO HEARTS, ONE UMMAH!
Alhamdulillāh for those moments of brotherhood in Islām when we speak about the Dīn, smile for the Dunya, and strengthen our Imān with the goal of the Ākhira. May Allāh swt always unite us for the greater good and keep us firm upon the Straight Path. Āmīn!

“SEEK A MOSQUE AND YOU WILL FIND IT!”
Whoever sincerely seeks the “straight path” (as-Sirāt al-Mustaqīm) always finds a “masjid” to pray in, and Allāh swt Himself will guide him, offering divine protection along the way. The reward – as His Messenger, our beloved Prophet Muhammad saw, teaches us – is just around the corner:
“He who purifies himself in His house and then goes to one of the houses of Allāh to perform a salāt, one step will wipe out his sins and another will elevate his rank [in Jannah]” (Riyād as-Sālihīn, 1054). Amīn!

“THE DIVINE WALK”
“It is He who has placed you on the earth and made you walk on it” (sūrat al-Mulk, 67:15).
Daily life in the dunyā is often a battle against space and time. As human beings we get carried away by the frenzy of our thousand commitments, occupying our minds with worries and bad thoughts, forgetting that Allāh swt listens to us even if we do not speak.
Between one journey and another, as Muslims we must take up His “rope”, breathing deeply to find the way to heaven and reconnect with the Almighty.
Let’s move our steps towards Him and all the confusion of our mind will disappear. We are not alone along the “Straigh Path”.

“NEL NOME DI DIO, IL CLEMENTE, IL MISERICORDIOSO”
Si fa un gran parlare della “libertà religiosa” in Italia per noi musulmani, di moschee, festività e intese varie. Questioni certamente dirimenti, che ci riguardano tutti in prima persona, pensando anche al futuro dei nostri figli.
D’altro canto, si tratta in fondo di cose che riguardano la dunyā, dove non si guadagna in conoscenza e c’è il rischio di restare sopraffatti dal proprio “nafs”, sporcandoci l’anima con la vanagloria della “politica”, terreno minato dove ci aspettano i Tāghūt sempre pronti a confonderci le idee e a “sviare” il nostro cammino verso l’ākhira.
Piuttosto, come musulmani ricordiamoci di un fatto: ovvero che siamo già liberi, lo siamo sempre. La libertà inizia infatti in noi stessi, ce l’abbiamo dentro al di là di quello che accade al di fuori, se davvero il nostro cuore è connesso con il Creatore, Allāh Subhānahu wa Taʿālā, Colui che tutto ascolta e conosce. Affidiamoci a Lui. Tawakkul

EVERYBODY COME TO ROME, THE “GRAND MOSQUE” IS WAITING FOR YOU!
As Muslims, we know that the earth has been made a masjid for us, but there are places where the spirit can find a deeper connection to Allāh Subhānahu wa Taʿālā. The Grand Mosque of Rome is one of them.
It is not just the largest mosque in Europe, but it stands as a beacon of faith where the light of Tawhīd never cease to shine, calling believers to bow in submission to our Lord.
The Grand Mosque of Rome is a place of salāh, dhikr, and duʿāʾ, where the hearts of the believers from all over the world unite in glorification of our Creator.
It’s neither fard, nor nafl, but brothers and sisters come to the Grand Mosque of Rome!
For a believer, it’s a life experience, not merely a visit. Stand in prayer and then let your forehead touch the ground in one of the most significant Islamic landmarks in the West.
Let the call to prayer remind you that wherever we are, we remain part of the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ. Don’t miss this chance. ʾAhlan wa sahlan! ☝️

ISLĀM, BASTA DIVISIONI NELLA UMMAH!
Allāh Subḥānahu wa Taʿālā dice nel Qur’ān:
“E neppure [siate tra] coloro che hanno scisso la loro religione e hanno formato sette, ognuna delle quali è tronfia di quello che afferma” (Sūrat ar-Rūm, 30:32).
Questa āyah è un monito chiaro contro la divisione della Ummah. L’Islām è una religione di unità e unicità, basata sul Tawhīd. Tuttavia, nel corso della storia, numerosi gruppi hanno deviato introducendo innovazioni (bidʿah) e creando fazioni che hanno frammentato i musulmani.
L’Ahl al-Sunnah wa-l-Jamāʿah segue l’Islām puro, senza estremismi né deviazioni. Pertanto, è dovere di ogni musulmano rimanere saldo sul Qur’ān e sulla Sunnah del Profeta ﷺ, respingendo le divisioni che indeboliscono la Ummah.
Che Allāh ci guidi affinché i nostri cuori tornino a battere all’unisono, in un’unica Ummah.

WATER, A PRECIOUS GIFT FROM ALLĀH SWT
In wudūʾ (الوضوء), it washes the traces of the world from our faces, dissolves the shadows from our hands, and purifies the step that leads us to prayer.
In ghusl (الغُسْل), it envelops us in a second birth, frees us from the burden of impurities, and makes us worthy of standing before our Lord.
“[…] He sent down water from the sky upon you to purify you with it, remove from you the filth of Satan, strengthen your hearts and make your steps firm” (sūrat al-’Anfāl, 8:11).
Water is the sign of the mercy of Allāh Subhānahu wa Taʿālā, let’s not waste it! ☝️

L’ACQUA, DONO PREZIOSO DI ALLĀH SWT
Nel wudūʾ (الوضوء) essa lava le tracce del mondo dai nostri volti, scioglie le ombre dalle nostre mani, purifica il passo che ci conduce alla preghiera.
Nel ghusl (الغُسْل) ci avvolge in una seconda nascita, ci libera dal peso delle impurità e ci rende degni di stare davanti al nostro Signore.
“… fece scendere su di voi acqua dal cielo per purificarvi con essa, allontanare da voi le sozzure di Satana, rafforzare i vostri cuori e rinsaldare i vostri passi” (sūrat al-’Anfāl, 8:11).
L’acqua è il segno della misericordia di Allāh Subhānahu wa Taʿālā, non sprechiamola! ☝️

REFLECTIONS INSPIRED BY A BROTHER IN ISLĀM
I regret the decades of total ignorance and misguidance completely lost in the Dunyā, looking for the “Straight Path” even if unknowingly.
I truly thank Allāh swt with all my heart for guiding me to Him, otherwise who knows how many more years I would have wasted! Or maybe I would have wasted my whole life, along with my soul…
May repentance make us more lovable in the sight of the Most High (sūrat al-Baqara, 2:222). Let’s never despair of His mercy (sūrat Az-Zumar, 39:35).

AR-RŪM CAPUT ISLĀM! ALHAMDULILLĀH
Secondo quanto ordinato da Allāh swt nella sedicesima sūrat del Nobile Qur’ān denominata An-Nahl (Le Api), āyah 125, invitiamo al sentiero del nostro Signore con saggezza e buoni consigli e discutiamo con i non-musulmani nella maniera migliore. La forza della “verità” (Haqq) sta nella Da’wa.
“E così facemmo di voi una comunità equilibrata [wasatān, وَسَطًا], affinché siate testimoni di fronte ai popoli e il Messaggero sia testimone di fronte a voi” (sūrat al-Baqara, 2:143).
As ordered by Allāh swt in the sixteenth sūrat of the Noble Qur’ān called An-Nahl (The Bees), āyah 125, let’s invite to the path of our Lord with wisdom and good advice. Let’s discuss with non-Muslims in the best manner. The strength of “truth” (Haqq) lies in the Da’wa.
“And thus We made you a balanced [wasatān, وَسَطًا] community, so that you may be witnesses to the people and the Messenger may be a witness to you” (sūrat al-Baqara, 2:143).

HALĀL-LILLĀH: SE VUOI, PUOI!
“O voi che credete! Mangiate le buone cose che vi abbiamo fornito” (Sūrat al-Baqara, 2:172).
“E chi compie uno sforzo [jihād], lo fa solo per se stesso. In verità Allāh è libero dal bisogno dei mondi” (Sūrat al-Ankabut, 29:6).
Subhān Allāh, oggi è possibile trovare cibo ḥalāl in molti negozi e mercati anche in Italia. Un buon musulmano non ha più scuse per nutrirsi con alimenti diversi rispetto a quelli benefici che gli sono stato prescritti e ricordiamoci che lo sforzo che facciamo per trovare cibo ḥalāl, per quanto piccolo possa sembrare, è di fondamentale importanza per la nostra salvezza e ha un grande valore agli occhi di Allāh swt. Rimaniamo quindi saldi nella nostra fede e nel nostro impegno di credenti, con la consapevolezza che ogni sacrificio sulla via dell’Altissimo verrà ricompensato e in modi che soltanto Lui conosce. Takbīr! ☝
HALĀL-LILLĀH: IF YOU WANT, YOU CAN!
“O you who believe! Eat of the good things We have provided for you” (Sūrat al-Baqara, 2:172).
“And whoever strives, strives only for himself. Verily, Allah is free from the need of the worlds” (Sūrat al-Ankabut, 29:6).
Subhān Allāh, today it’s possible to find ḥalāl food in many shops and markets also in Italy. A good Muslim has no longer any excuse for eating stuff other than the beneficial ones that have been prescribed for him, and remember that the effort we make to find ḥalāl food, however small it may seem, is of fundamental importance for our salvation and has great value in the eyes of Allāh swt. Therefore, let’s remain firm in our faith and in our commitment as believers, with the awareness that every sacrifice on the path of the Most High will be rewarded and in ways that only He knows. Takbīr! ☝

Passeggiando per le città d’Italia, noto sempre le solite vie: Via Garibaldi, Via Mazzini, Piazza Dante… Ma mai una “Via Ibn Sīnā” o una “Piazza Averroè” o ibn Rushd!
Ormai la comunità musulmana fa parte integrante del tessuto sociale italiano, eppure nessuno ha pensato di dedicare una via a grandi menti come Mūsā al-Khwārizmī, l’inventore dell’algebra (quella che ci ha fatto impazzire a scuola!) o Ibn Battūta, il Marco Polo del mondo musulmano!
Immaginate: “Ci vediamo a Piazza Rūmī per un caffè?”. Suona bene, no? Che ne pensate? Tabārak Allāh ☝
Walking through the cities of Italy, I always notice the same streets: Garibaldi or Mazzini Street, Dante Square… But never an “Ibn Sīnā Avenue” or a “Averroè-ibn Rushd Square”!
The Muslim community has now grown into an integral part of the Italian social fabric, yet no one has thought of dedicating a street to great minds like Mūsā al-Khwārizmī, the inventor of algebra (the one that drove us crazy at school!) or Ibn Battūta, the Marco Polo of the Muslim world!
Imagine: “Shall we meet in Rūmī Square for a coffee?”. It sounds good, doesn’t it? What do you think? Tabārak Allāh ☝

Le polemiche sulla “Grande Moschea di Hagía Sophía” (in turco Ayasofya Camii) a Istanbul non si placano mai. Perché è così difficile accettare il fatto che il luogo di culto abbia ormai acquisito una piena identità islamica? Mentre non risultano oggi rivendicazioni da parte dei musulmani sulla Grande Moschea di Cordova (al-Āndalus), poi convertita definitivamente in cattedrale cristiana.
La Storia è andata così, inutile continuare a guardare indietro e con rabbia. La parentesi di Hagía Sophía come museo è frutto di una scelta politica legittima che testimonia l’“inclusività” dell’Islām e degli stessi musulmani, sia nello spirito che nella prassi.
“Inclusività” riconfermata anche dopo il suo recente ritorno al ruolo di masjid a tutti gli effetti, basato su una decisione altrettanto legittima. La moschea è infatti aperta a tutti i visitatori, credenti e non-credenti, che possono trovare il Profeta ‘Isa (as) ad aspettarli. Alḥamdulillāh ‘alā kulli hāl.
The controversy over the “Great Mosque of Hagía Sophía” (in Turkish Ayasofya Camii) in Istanbul never ends. Why is it so difficult to accept the fact that this place of worship has gained a full Islamic identity? While there are no claims by Muslims today on the Great Mosque of Cordoba (al-Āndalus), then permanently converted into a Christian cathedral.
History has taken this course, it is useless to continue looking back and with anger. The parenthesis of Hagía Sophía as a museum is the result of a legitimate political choice that testifies to the “inclusiveness” of Islām and Muslims themselves, both in spirit and in practice.
Such an “inclusiveness” has been reaffirmed also after its recent return to the role of a masjid in all respects, based on an equally legitimate decision. The mosque is in fact open to all visitors, believers and non-believers, who can find Prophet ‘Isa (as) waiting for them. Alḥamdulillāh ‘alā kulli hāl

I musulmani a Roma sono una Ummah in grande crescita. I fratelli e le sorelle provenienti da Marocco, Egitto, Bangladesh, Pakistan e altri paesi dello Shām, Africa e Asia, sono pienamente integrati e contribuiscono in maniera sempre più significativa al tessuto sociale, culturale e religioso della città. Pregiudizi non mancano, ma l’islamofobia è un male passeggero! Siamo tutti figli del Dio unico, Allāh Subḥānahu wa ta’alā. Roma Caput Islām!
Muslims in Rome are a rapidly growing Ummah. The brothers and sisters from Morocco, Egypt, Bangladesh, Pakistan and other countries in the Shām, Africa and Asia are fully integrated and increasingly provide a significant contribution to the social, cultural and religious fabric of the city. Prejudices are not lacking, but Islamophobia is a passing evil! We are all children of the one God, Allāh Subḥānahu wa ta’alā.

“Nel nome di Allāh, con l’aiuto di Allāh e sulla via di Allāh”.
Invocare il nome di Allāh swt al momento di iniziare un’azione significa cercare la benedizione dell’Onnipotente, l’unico che può concederci il successo. Allāh al-Malīk, al-Qādir, al-Muqtadir!
Cercare l’aiuto di Allāh swt significa fare affidamento sul Suo supporto e sulla Sua guida lungo la “retta via” (Ṣirāṭ al-Mustaqīm) in tutti i nostri sforzi per renderLo soddisfatto di noi. Allāh Yahdīnā!
“In the name of Allāh, with the help of Allāh and in the way of Allāh”.
Invoking the name of Allāh swt when starting an action means seeking the blessing of the Almighty, the only one who can grant us success. Allāh al-Malīk, al-Qādir, al-Muqtadir!
Seeking the help of Allāh swt means relying on His support and guidance along the “straight path” (Ṣirāṭ al-Mustaqīm) in all our efforts to make Him pleased with us. Allāh Yahdīnā!

“Allāhumma inni as’aluka minal-khayri kullihi, ‘ajilihi wa ajilihi, ma ‘alimtu minhu wa ma la a’lam. Wa a’udhu bika minash-sharri kullihi, ‘ajilihi wa ajilihi, ma ‘alimtu minhu wa ma la a’lam. Allāhumma inni as’aluka min khayri ma sa’alaka ‘abduka wa nabiyyuka, wa a’udhu bika min sharri ma ‘adha bihi ‘abduka wa nabiyyuka. Allāhumma inni as’alukal-jannatah wa ma qarrab ilayha min qawlin aw ‘amalin, wa a’udhu bika minan-nari wa ma qarraba ilayha min qawlin aw ‘amalin, wa as’aluka an taj’al kulla qada’in qadaytahuli khayran”.
“O Allāh, ti chiedo tutto ciò che è buono, in questo mondo e nell’aldilà, quello che so e quello che non so. O Allāh, mi rifugio presso di Te da ogni male, in questo mondo e nell’aldilà, da ciò che so e da ciò che non so. O Allāh, ti chiedo il bene che il tuo schiavo e profeta ti ha chiesto, e cerco rifugio presso di te dal male dal quale il tuo schiavo e profeta ha cercato rifugio. O Allāh, ti chiedo il Paradiso e ciò che ti avvicina ad esso, in parole e opere, e cerco rifugio in Te dall’Inferno e da ciò che ti avvicina ad esso, in parole e opere. E ti chiedo di rendere buono ogni decreto che decreti riguardo a me”.
“O Allāh, I ask You for all that is good, in this world and in the Hereafter, what I know and what I do not know. O Allāh, I seek refuge with You from all evil, in this world and in the Hereafter, what I know and what I do not know. O Allāh, I ask You for the good that Your slave and Prophet has asked You for, and I seek refuge with You from the evil from which Your slave and Prophet sought refuge. O Allāh, I ask You for Paradise and for that which brings one closer to it, in word and deed, and I seek refuge in You from Hell and from that which brings one closer to it, in word and deed. And I ask You to make every decree that You decree concerning me good”.

“E i primi precursori tra i Muhājirūn e gli Anṣār e coloro che li seguirono nella rettitudine: Allāh è soddisfatto di loro ed essi sono soddisfatti di Lui. Egli ha preparato per loro giardini sotto i quali scorrono i fiumi per dimorarvi per sempre. Questo è il trionfo supremo”.
“The early vanguard of the Muhājirūn and the Anṣār and those who followed them in virtue: Allāh is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him. He has prepared for them gardens under which rivers are flowing to dwell in them forever. This is the supreme triumph”.
