The October 7 attack caused death and destruction for the Palestinian brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip, overwhelmed by genocide and betrayal. While the turn of the poor Lebanese came soon afterward. In the Shām, however, it seems that victory has finally been granted, Subhān Allāh.
The Islamic leader of the moment, Abū Muhammad al-Jawlānī, did not make any mistake, patiently waiting for the right moment to attack. This is perhaps the key to the positive outcome of all our “efforts”, otherwise the old saying “things were better when they were worse” applies, is that true Hamas and Hezbollah?
Al-Jawlānī and the mujāhidīn of Hayat Tahrīr al-Shām do also have a long history of “misguided jihād”, and this should not be forgotten. But authentic change is possible and is rewarded with success fī sabīli ‘llāh.
Al-Jawlānī seems to have rediscovered the light of the Sharī‛a and in the “pluralistic” context of Aleppo, Hama, Homs, and finally Damascus, he clearly announced that he will rule according to Islamic justice for the sake of the entire population: Sunnis, Shiites, Christians, Druze, Kurds and Alawites. Will he keep his word? We will be watching carefully.
This (and only this) is the “straight path” that leads to lasting peace as the definitive fulfillment of the Syrian revolution. After the darkness of tyranny, in the Shām a new “rising dawn” (al-Falaq) is within reach. Al-Jawlānī must only let himself be guided by the “wisdom” of the Lord.
