Dear brothers and sisters, today I feel the need to talk about a topic that concerns all of us as a Muslim community. While many people around the world are boycotting products linked to companies that directly or indirectly support the policies of Israhell and Satanyahu against our brothers and sisters in Palestine 🇸🇩(and now also in Lebanon 🇱🇧), it is quite sad to see how some of our ḥalāl shops here in Italy continue to sell even CocaCola, which obviously some Muslims have not stopped consuming… Where is our coherence?
Our beloved ProphetMuhammad ﷺ taught us that the Muslim community is a single body: if one part suffers, the whole body must feel the pain. Yet, how can we remain indifferent in the face of so much suffering? Not buying products that directly or indirectly finance Zionist oppression should be a rather simple action for every Muslim to carry out, instead…
Islām teaches believers to act according to justice. As Allāh ﷻ tells us in the Quran:
“Help one another in righteousness and piety, but not in sin and transgression. And fear Allāh; indeed, Allāh is severe in penalty” (Sūrat al-Ma’idah, 5:2).
