Rafah, Gaza Strip. What else can we say in addition to what has been said so far? The horror of death, the cliché excuses, the impotence of the International Criminal Court, the famine that continues to spread, the drama and suffering of the Palestinians. Perhaps everything has already been said, what to add? Maybe something different, which can open a new perspective and bring back hope.
Hope, where can we find it? The brothers and sisters of Gaza taught it to us from the very first day, by never losing their faith and trust in “Allāh ar-Razzāq”, He who provides for everything, even and above all in the midst of the darkest tragedy.
It is not only about material survival, but about His light, the light that shows the path to take in order to reach the end of the tunnel. The road is still very long, but the exit is there, one day it will be achieved.
The challenge now for Muslims is to be able to grasp even a single glimmer in the direction of the “straight path” to follow. And we believe that this path is not the one of Hamas, which carried out a completely reckless attack that has nothing to do with the prophetic method.
Anyway, Allāh swt has a plan, it is impossible that He does not have it. In the current situation, it is perhaps impossible to understand or grasp it even partially, but He is there, always there. With the Palestinians and above the Palestinians. He dominates everything and everyone, even those whom “evil” is using to sow death, destruction, and injustice. His peace is with the victims, His support with the survivors, and let’s not think that He “is heedless of what the wicked do…” (Sūrat Ibrāhīm, 14:42).
All together, let’s keep our eyes on Rafah, cling to his “rope” (Sūrat ‘Āli’ Imrān, 3: 103), seek His light. And Palestine will be at peace. ☝️🇵🇸
